The World Games Selection Committee is very pleased to announce the players that will represent the U.S. at the
2005 World Games in Duisburg, Germany. The UPA had 37 female and 59 male applicants for five female, six male, and eight alternate spots, and the volunteer Selection Committee deliberated for months before making the extremely difficult decision on the final team. The Selection Committee considered many factors in making the final decision including experience, athletic ability, physical and mental fortitude, service to the sport, demonstrated respect for Spirit of the Game, and ambassadorial qualities. The Committee also looked carefully at team dynamics and skill sets in making these difficult choices. We feel that the selected team will have great success and carry itself with the highest degree of character.
