Player Status Messages

  • Unverified
The player has been added to the roster, but the player's status has not been checked against the UPA database. Follow the instructions on checking players' statuses to determine the player's status.

  • Not Found
With the information provided (name, UPA # and email address), the player could not be matched to any player in the UPA database. Confirm the spelling of the player's name, and the player's UPA number are correct, then check again.

If you are adding new UPA members to your roster, each of those players must create a UPA account before they can be added to your roster. This process can take up to 2 days, so please plan accordingly.

If the player still cannot be found, please contact the UPA for help in resolving this player's status.

  • Ineligible
This player is not eligible to play for this tournament. The most common reasons for this status are:
    • Player too old/young for Youth/Masters tournament play

    • Player does not have college eligibility for this tournament.

This case usually happens when a player is participating in a college tournament but is not college eligible. If you believe this status is incorrect, you can request an eligibility review. Please see the Eligibility FAQ with questions, or contact the UPA for further help.

There may be other reasons for the ineligible status. Please contact the UPA for further help.

  • Incomplete
A player's status is incomplete if one or more of the following three statements are true about the player's membership:

    1. The player is not dues current.

The player can pay dues online, send in a check directly to the UPA, or if there isn't time to send in a check before the event, pay at the event.

    2. The player is not waiver current.

Each player must complete a waiver for that calendar year before participating in a UPA sanctioned event. Copies of the waiver are available on the sanctioned event forms page. Faxed waivers are not acceptable. Contact the event coordinator to determine whether to mail the waiver in to the UPA or turn it in at the event.

    3. The player is on more than one team for the tournament or series event.

A player can remove her/himself from a roster, or the team organizers can remove the player from the team the player will not be playing with at the tournament.

  • Not Cleared
The player's eligibility status has not been confirmed by the UPA to play in this tournament. This status applies to only restricted events such as Masters, Youth or College series tournaments.

For college series events, if you believe this status is incorrect, you can request an eligibility review. Please see the Eligibility FAQ with questions.

For other tournaments, please contact the UPA for further help.

  • Cleared
The player has been confirmed by the UPA to be eligible to play in this tournament. This status applies to only restricted events such as Masters, Youth or College series tournaments.

  • Complete
The player is dues current and waiver current.

This status does not reflect eligibility to play in the tournament for eligibility-limited tournaments such as the College Championship Series, Youth Tournaments or other restricted events. Please see the Cleared and Not Cleared statuses for more information about tournament play eligibility.
