Elections for the UPA Board of Directors will take place October 1 - November 3, 2008. Only current members of the UPA may vote. Members are eligible to vote for up to two (2) At Large Candidates. Members who reside in a region may also vote in the respective Regional elections (South (1) and Central (1)).
The list of candidates has been finalized. Statements for the candidates will be available in mid September via the UPA web site and in the Fall issue of the UPA magazine. Ballots will be available in both the fall issue of the UPA magazine as well as online via the UPA web site (beginning October 1).

| The Northwest took all three YCC championships, with Disc Northwest defending their Girls and Open titles, while a new champion emerged from Eugene in Mixed. The story of the Girls and Mixed division championship runs was one of domination, as Eugene never gave up double digits and the Disc Northwest girls never gave up more than 4 points in a game the entire weekend. The Disc Northwest Open team took an entirely different path, coming back from a loss in pool play and a 10-6 deficit in the finals to pull of the 15-14 overtime comeback victory. |

The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) has announced that Prague, Czech Republic has been selected to host the 2010 WFDF World Ultimate Club Championships from July 3rd - July 10th (optional 10th-18th). Over 100 club teams representing 30 nations will gather to compete for the World title in the Mixed, Masters, Open and Women's Divisions.
Team USA took home six medals at the WFDF 2008 World Ultimate & Guts Championships (WUGC) in Vancouver, BC. Women's, Junior Boys and Masters' Divisions all captured the Gold, Open took Silver and both Junior Girls and Mixed earned Bronze.
