Team History:

The Seattle Sockeye rose to greatness in the late 90's, using ‘old school’ plays ripped from the playbook of NYNY, and a talented group of athletes for defense. Many of those players have moved on to greener pastures, and the playbook was lost several years ago, but Sockeye continues to this day.
After a brief rebuilding period that saw Sockeye miss nationals one year, the Fish have clawed (well, that’s not actually an appropriate metaphor, is it) their way back into contention, highlighted by a 3rd place victory at Worlds in 2003, and their first semifinal appearance since 1997.
The new look fish are characterized by wide open offense, stingy defense, and garb that has a picture of a fish on it. Sockeye’s main strength, however, is revealed in many critical, close victories this year: the will to win.
We are proud of our Team Noun’s connection to the true spirit of the Northwest, and we look forward to representing our region in the fight for the National Championship.
