Team History:
“Holes and Poles” was formed in the winter of 1995, when a group of 5 women invited 2 men to join them at a “savage 7” tournament against a field of men. “Holes and Poles” continued to play at the Baton Rouge, Louisiana Savage 7, and when coed or Mixed Ultimate hit the national scene “Holes and Poles” began to compete across the country.

Among us, we represent a variety of Ultimate experiences. Some of us began playing 20 years ago, when Ultimate was very young, while others are relatively new to the sport. Our team is made up of a large extended family of children, spouses and friends. We are truly a family team!

Our 2003 season has seen a greater emphasis on team practices and fewer tournaments. These practices have been events as we have had to travel to a central location just to get together; our team is scattered throughout the states that make up the Gulf Coast Section plus a few others! We won our section in early September and we finished 2nd in the most competitive Regionals the southern mixed teams have had to date.
