Team History:
Grey Expectations (or simply X) is a second year masters
team from Minneapolis. We have many players with over 20
years experience playing in the UPA fall series. Even so,
the 2002 season was the first endeavor to nationals for
many X er’s. The heat and level of competition inspired
many of the players to dust off their running shoes and
condition in anticipation of this year’s competition.
Last
seasons team motto of “ya betcha” has been updated.
The early favorite was Uff-da, but by golly that seemed
a little to regional for this squad of world travelers.
Instead we decided to rip off a local radio station with
“X-Rocks.”
X
comes to the 2003 nationals with modestly Grey Expectations
of playing hard, maybe winning a game or two and having
a really great time. Our stretch goal is to keep John Fenske
from visiting the hospital and avoiding having anyone lift
the loveable handler Butch over their head to demonstrate
their intolerance to tequila.
