Team History:
Donner Party, Donner Party…how to explain undying hunger in 250 words or less? The story of this team is true grit, hard work and a fierce love for each other as teammates. We entered the tempest of our first Nationals in 2001 and were given a lesson by Hurricane Michelle. We learned our lesson well! In 2002, school was in. After capturing the World Championships in Hawaii, we returned to Sarasota and played a game-for-the-ages against the crafty Texans on Hang Time to take the National title. We’ve adopted a few new out-of-towners from around the West, but the heart and soul of this team is pure Lake Tahoe: a belief in the endless pursuit of fun combined with a burning desire for victory. It is an eclectic group, with strong egos, strange characters and a penchant for throwing blades at inopportune moments. But the timeless love for each other overcomes all. Male or female, rich or poor, new or old, Donner would just as soon eat our young as lose an ultimate game. Be forewarned.
